How to Create DJ and Presenter Accounts in AzuraCast

AzuraCast · Self-help guide

If your station has more than one presenter, each DJ should have their own streamer account. This is better than sharing one main station login because it keeps access controlled, makes schedules easier to manage and reduces mistakes. To create a presenter login, sign in at https://stream.onlineaudience.co.uk as a station manager.

Step-by-step guide

  1. From the left sidebar, open Streamers/DJs.
  2. Click Add Streamer or the equivalent create button.
  3. Enter a simple streamer username, such as dj_james or evening_show.
  4. Create a strong password for the presenter.
  5. Add the presenter display name that should appear publicly when they are live.
  6. Make sure the account is enabled or active.
  7. Save the account and provide the DJ with their connection details privately.

Use clear naming rules from the start. For example, all presenter usernames could use lowercase letters with no spaces. Avoid creating one shared “studio” account for everyone unless it is genuinely used by one physical studio. Separate accounts allow you to disable a presenter without affecting others. They also make it easier to add schedule restrictions so each person can only connect during their authorised show time. A tidy DJ account setup is one of the simplest ways to keep live broadcasting reliable.
