How to Check Listeners, Song History and Basic Radio Statistics
Statistics help you understand what is happening on your station. They can show current listeners, recent listener activity, song history and sometimes useful technical details. You should use stats as a guide, not something to panic over minute by minute.
Step-by-step guide
- Log in to Sonic Panel at https://sonic.onlineaudience.co.uk/cp/log.php.
- Open the statistics, listeners, history or reports section available in your account.
- Check current listeners to see how many people are connected right now.
- Review song history to confirm whether AutoDJ or a live DJ is playing the expected audio.
- Look for patterns across different times of day rather than judging a show from one moment.
- If listener numbers suddenly drop, test the public player and confirm the stream is still online.
Song history is especially useful for troubleshooting. If a presenter says they are live but the history still shows AutoDJ tracks, their encoder may not have connected correctly. If the same track appears repeatedly, the playlist may be too small or the wrong schedule may be active. For station planning, compare popular show times with quieter periods and adjust promotion or scheduling accordingly. Keep in mind that internet radio listening naturally changes throughout the day, so look for trends rather than one-off numbers.
