How to Use the AzuraCast Web DJ Tool
AzuraCast · Self-help guide
The Web DJ tool is useful when you want to present live without installing separate broadcasting software. It runs inside your browser and can use your microphone, local audio files and basic deck controls. This is ideal for quick shows, remote presenters, guest hosts or testing. Log in at https://stream.onlineaudience.co.uk and select your station before opening Web DJ.
Step-by-step guide
- From the station sidebar, click Web DJ.
- Allow your browser to use your microphone when prompted.
- Load music or audio clips into the available decks if you plan to play files manually.
- Test your microphone level before starting the public stream.
- Use the deck controls to play, pause and crossfade between audio sources.
- Click Start Streaming when you are ready to go live.
- Monitor the station output from another device where possible.
- Click stop or disconnect when your live session has finished.
For best results, use headphones to avoid echo and keep your browser tab open throughout the broadcast. Close unnecessary apps that may use the microphone, and avoid refreshing the page while live. Web DJ is convenient, but for complex studio setups with external mixers, a dedicated encoder may still give more control.
