How to Monitor Live Logs While Testing a Website
VPS Servers · Self-help guide
Watching logs live can help you find errors while testing a website. Open an SSH session to your VPS. For Nginx errors, use sudo tail -f /var/log/nginx/error.log. For Apache on Ubuntu, use sudo tail -f /var/log/apache2/error.log. For Apache on AlmaLinux, use sudo tail -f /var/log/httpd/error_log. Keep the log window open, then reproduce the website issue in your browser. New lines should appear when the error happens. Press Ctrl+C to stop watching the log. Do not paste full logs publicly. Share only the relevant error lines with support, along with the affected URL and the time you tested.
