How to Create and Manage DJ Accounts in Sonic Panel
DJ accounts let presenters broadcast without giving them full owner access to your radio control panel. This is better for security, accountability and general station management. Each presenter should have their own login, even if they only host one show per week.
Step-by-step guide
- Log in as the radio account owner: https://sonic.onlineaudience.co.uk/cp/log.php.
- Open DJ Accounts or the DJ management section.
- Create a new DJ account using the presenter name or a clear username.
- Set a strong password or send the presenter instructions to change it after first login.
- Choose the permissions the DJ actually needs, such as streaming live, viewing connection details or managing profile information.
- Avoid giving start, stop or full management permissions unless the presenter genuinely needs them.
- Save the account and send the DJ their login details privately.
Review DJ accounts regularly. If a presenter leaves the station, remove or disable their account immediately. If someone reports connection problems, check that their account is active, their password is correct and their live permissions are enabled. Do not share the main station login with multiple presenters, because it makes it difficult to know who changed settings. A well-managed DJ account setup protects your stream and keeps your presenters focused on broadcasting rather than administration.
