How to Troubleshoot Email Not Receiving After DNS Changes
Domains & DNS · Self-help guide
If email stops arriving after DNS changes, start by checking the MX records. Log in to your DNS provider and confirm the domain has the correct MX records for your mail provider. If you recently changed nameservers, the new DNS zone may not include the previous mail records. Also check that any required SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are present. Use an online MX checker or run nslookup -type=mx yourdomain.co.uk to see public MX results. Send a test email from an outside mailbox, such as Gmail or Outlook, and check for bounce messages. Do not keep switching MX records repeatedly. If mail is business critical, contact support with the domain, expected mail provider, and any bounce errors.
