How to Secure a Website with an SSL/TLS Certificate in Plesk

Plesk · Self-help guide

SSL/TLS certificates encrypt traffic between visitors and your website. In Plesk, go to Websites & Domains, choose the domain, and open SSL/TLS Certificates. Depending on your hosting setup, you may be able to issue a free Let’s Encrypt certificate, upload a certificate you already own, or purchase one. Select the domain names you want to secure, such as the root domain and www version. Start the certificate issue process and wait for Plesk to validate the domain. The domain DNS must point correctly before validation can succeed. After installation, test the site using https://. If warnings remain, check for mixed content or missing certificate coverage.
