How to Set Up Tax and VAT Settings in WHMCS
WHMCS · Self-help guide
Tax settings affect invoices and customer billing, so configure them carefully and ask an accountant if unsure. In WHMCS admin, open the tax configuration area and enable tax if your business needs to charge VAT or another tax. Set the tax name, rate, country or region rules, and whether tax should apply to products, addons, or domains. Review whether prices are entered inclusive or exclusive of tax. Test with sample clients in different locations to confirm invoices calculate correctly. Check invoice templates and business details before going live. Do not guess tax rules for other countries or business types. If your reseller business is VAT registered, keep records consistent with your accounting process.
