How to Create Your First AutoDJ Playlist in Sonic Panel

SonicPanel · Self-help guide

AutoDJ keeps your station playing when nobody is broadcasting live. A good AutoDJ playlist should contain enough properly uploaded music to run without repeating too quickly, and it should be named clearly so you know exactly what it is used for.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log in to Sonic Panel: https://sonic.onlineaudience.co.uk/cp/log.php.
  2. Open Playlist Manager or the playlist section shown in your account.
  3. Create a new playlist with a useful name, such as Main Rotation, Overnight AutoDJ or Weekend Playlist.
  4. Open your Music Library and select the tracks you want to use.
  5. Drag or add the selected tracks into the new playlist.
  6. Save the playlist and make sure it is active or available for AutoDJ.
  7. Start or restart AutoDJ so the latest playlist changes are loaded.

After creating the playlist, listen to your stream for a few minutes from a browser or mobile device. This confirms the stream is playing publicly, not just inside the panel. If you hear silence, check that the playlist contains tracks and that AutoDJ is online. If the same song repeats too often, add more music or review your playlist rotation. For a smoother station sound, create separate playlists for music, jingles and adverts rather than mixing everything randomly in one list.
