How to Use External Email Services with Plesk

Plesk · Self-help guide

If you use an external email provider, your website can still be hosted in Plesk while mail is delivered elsewhere. First, collect the MX, SPF, DKIM, and any verification records supplied by the email provider. In Plesk, go to Mail and review the mail service setting for the domain. Local mail may need to be disabled to prevent Plesk from trying to handle messages internally. Then open Websites & Domains, choose the domain, and edit DNS Settings. Add or update the records exactly as supplied. Test by sending email from an outside account. Do not remove old records until you are sure the new external mail service is working.
