How to Create Administrator Roles and Permissions
WHMCS · Self-help guide
Administrator roles control what staff can see and change in WHMCS. Create roles based on job responsibilities, not individual convenience. For example, you may have roles for support agents, billing staff, sales staff, and senior administrators. Give each role only the permissions required to do the job. Avoid giving full administrator access to every staff member, because it increases risk. After creating a role, assign it to a test admin user and confirm the menus and actions are correct. Review sensitive permissions such as payment gateway settings, module configuration, client deletion, invoice editing, and administrator management. Good permission control helps prevent accidental changes and protects customer data.
