How to Handle WHMCS Module Errors Safely

WHMCS · Self-help guide

Module errors can happen when WHMCS cannot communicate with a server, gateway, registrar, or third-party panel. Start by copying the exact error message and noting the time, client, product, and action attempted. Check whether the server credentials, API token, hostname, SSL setting, package name, and firewall rules are correct. For cPanel, confirm the WHM API token is valid and has the required permissions. For third-party modules, confirm the module files match your WHMCS and PHP versions. If you enable module debugging, use it briefly and disable it afterwards because logs may contain sensitive data. Do not paste passwords or full API secrets into support tickets. Provide masked details and relevant log lines instead.
