How to Set Up Automatic Suspension and Unsuspension
Automatic suspension helps protect your business when invoices remain unpaid, but it must be configured carefully. In WHMCS admin, review Automation Settings and confirm suspension is enabled only after a suitable grace period. Then check each product’s module settings to confirm the module supports suspend and unsuspend actions. For cPanel hosting, WHMCS can usually suspend or unsuspend accounts through the cPanel module when the server connection is working. Test with a non-production service before relying on automation. Make sure clients receive invoice reminders before suspension occurs. If a customer pays an overdue invoice, WHMCS should unsuspend the service when automation and the module are configured correctly. Always review logs when an automation action fails.
