How to Add DKIM Records for Your Domain

Domains & DNS · Self-help guide

DKIM adds a digital signature to outgoing email and helps receiving mail servers confirm that messages are genuine. Your mail provider will normally generate a DKIM selector and DNS value for you. Log in to your DNS provider and open the DNS zone for the domain. Create a TXT record using the host/name supplied by the mail provider, often something like default._domainkey or selector1._domainkey. Paste the DKIM value exactly as supplied. Long DKIM values must not be shortened or edited. Save the record and wait for propagation. Return to your mail provider and click the verify or authenticate button if available. If verification fails, check for missing characters, extra spaces, or the wrong selector name.
