How to Edit Song Metadata and Artwork in AzuraCast
Song metadata is the information your listeners see when music plays. It usually includes the artist, title, album and artwork. Clean metadata makes your station look more polished on web players, mobile apps, smart speakers and public stream pages. To update track information, log in at https://stream.onlineaudience.co.uk and open the correct station.
Step-by-step guide
- Go to Media and open Music Files.
- Browse to the folder containing the track you want to update.
- Click the edit or pencil icon beside the audio file.
- Review the artist, title, album and any other visible metadata fields.
- Correct spelling, capitalisation and formatting so the track displays cleanly to listeners.
- If artwork is missing or incorrect, open the artwork area and upload a suitable square image.
- Save the changes, then check the track again in the file list.
Use a consistent style across your station. For example, avoid mixing “THE BAND”, “The Band” and “the band” unless that is intentional. Remove file version notes from public titles, such as “radio edit final 2”. For jingles and adverts, use clear names such as “Online Audience Station ID” or “Breakfast Show Sponsor”. Good metadata helps listeners recognise songs, improves the look of your station pages and supports a better overall radio brand.
