How to Fix Mixed Content Warnings After Enabling SSL

WordPress · Self-help guide

Mixed content warnings appear when your website uses HTTPS but some images, scripts, styles, or links still load over HTTP. First, confirm SSL is active and the site loads with https://. In WordPress, go to Settings, then General, and check that both WordPress Address and Site Address use HTTPS. Use a trusted search-and-replace plugin or migration tool to update old HTTP URLs in the database, but take a backup first. Clear any caching plugin and browser cache. Check the page again using your browser developer tools or an online SSL checker. If warnings remain, the issue may be hard-coded in a theme, plugin, widget, or external script.
